Following today’s State Department live event where US Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton hosted Vice President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, it is clear that US and China resolving the global financial imbalances in a sustainable manner is crucial for world stability.

The three pillars of the negotiation framework, in a countdown toward better integration between United States and China heralding the next (or the post-Nixon-Kissinger epoch) in the relationship between world’s two largest economies, are:

3. US intellectual property rights of all US-originating goods and services will be protected by China per US intellectual property laws.

2. US can be more open to China, in reciprocity, if China agrees that it is developed and commits to sustainable growth to be a part of the emerging Asia-Pacific Trade Pact.

1. US and China must agree on disarmament.
