Preparing for an interview with a world leader can be daunting, but not if you are clear in your mind about what you want to accomplish in a job that can keep you alive, rearing to go any time of day or night, anywhere in the world by social media, phone, road, rail, air, bullock cart or foot.
Poverty cannot be alleviated without mitigating resource consumption, because there are more poor and lower-middle income people around the world than there are the rest. Global income distribution has a long fat tail like that of a dinosaur. It needs to be turned into a normal Gaussian mammal.
Its new mission, in a world more eager to live better than it ever did, providing an expanding market base for private money, should therefore, be:
to “[P]rovide coordinated international oversight for poverty reduction through sustainable global development.”
Strategic Plan 2012-2017
To support this new mission the following three things must be accomplished in the order presented below:
1. Streamline The World Bank Group into a new International Agency for Sustainable Development (IASD)
2. Merge International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) mission of overseeing the global macroeconomy and financial flows into IASD
3. Merge member country government development agencies into IASD
