Mitt Romney And Paul Ryan

Mitt Romney has picked Paul Ryan as his running mate for November.

The Romney selection implies 3 things about the 4 years of a Romney presidency should the ticket be elected on November 06, 2012, with the campaign from now to November pointing out President Obama’s inability to ‘walk the talk’ as I stated in my profile on BarackObama.com in 2008 when I supported this president in the Democrat primaries and Senator John McCain in the Republican primaries as an unaffiliated voter:

1. In a return to the intent of the election of Gore v. Bush 2000 election, nation-building – economic and political, after the economic crises of the 1990s and now in Europe, wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the Arab Spring – now takes the form of a new defense policy of seeking responsibility from other nations for their own future, first in their own geopolitical contexts in their neighborhoods, and then by engaging in international forums according to international norms.

2. Restoration of American values and civil liberties, as already expressed by Mitt Romney, in the spirit of the United States Constitution, meaning a retraction of the intelligence community in alignment with the Constitution and the new defense posture. Anthros (and other counterproductive operations such as Fast and Furious), or social control of foreigners and perceived foreigners, will be ended, worldwide.

3. Focus on domestic policy, emphasizing self-reliance, will predominate in debates to return strength at home for a new kind of projection of strength abroad predicated in principled engagement in politics and economics, including in an American opening to China and India, undoing the damage of China’s Most Favored Nation (MFN) status and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) on labor and environment.
