Sandy Hook

Flattr this

On December 14, 2012 20-year old Adam Lanza shot and killed his mother at his home, 6 other adults and 20 children in Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown in Fairfield County, Connecticut before he also shot himself dead.

Mass gun violence in America has risen since 9/11 and more so since the election of President Obama in 2008. Fort Hood, Tucson, Aurora, Oak Creek and now Newtown besides of course, military suicides by guns or otherwise.

Even if only sport guns, guns in America are proving to be ever more fatal.  So are knives in China as The Economist points out in its article about the Connecticut shooting.

As much as the US military denies its mind control program Anthros, it is clear that it has had a hand in errant behaviors in Texas, Colorado and Wisconsin. Whether it had a role in Arizona and Connecticut is yet to be established. Behavioral control by mind control electronically has turned partisan making it worse when it ought not to exist in a free society at the outset. Adam Lanza’s mother clearly fancied guns and they took their toll.

People and countries without money take up weapons, large and small, to acquire it. Those with money acquire them to keep it. The irony is that more people die in the world for lack of money than they do of weapons, large and small, the weapons being a symptom of the roots of conflict and mental distress caused both by having too much and too little money. This is the big picture that caused the massacre at Sandy Hook.

Before we can deal with the troubles being wrought by monetary disparities around the world in the name of freedom and liberty, United States Congress must first ratify the United Nations Treaty on Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) rather than control the behavior of Americans by electronic means to save liberty.

Integration is the new American frontier to defend, not with guns but with garlands.
