Then I saw the Lamb open one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures call out, as with a voice of thunder, “Come!”2I looked, and there was a white horse! Its rider had a bow; a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering and to conquer.
3When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, “Come!” 4And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people would slaughter one another; and he was given a great sword.
5When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature call out, “Come!” I looked, and there was a black horse! Its rider held a pair of scales in his hand,6and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s pay, and three quarts of barley for a day’s pay, but do not damage the olive oil and the wine!”
7When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature call out, “Come!” 8I looked and there was a pale green horse! Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed with him; they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, famine, and pestilence, and by the wild animals of the earth.
Revelation 6:1-6:8 , NRSVA Bible
Rejoicing in Heaven
After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,
Salvation and glory and power to our God,
for his judgments are true and just;
he has judged the great whore
who corrupted the earth with her fornication,
and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”
3Once more they said,
The smoke goes up from her forever and ever.”
4And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying,
5And from the throne came a voice saying,
“Praise our God,
all you his servants,
and all who fear him,
small and great.”
6Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying out,
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready;
to her it has been granted to be clothed
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
9And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”10Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your comrades who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesusx is the spirit of prophecy.”
The Rider on the White Horse
11Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed that no one knows but himself. 13He is clothed in a robe dipped iny blood, and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies of heaven, wearing fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rulez them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.16On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, “King of kings and Lord of lords.”
The Beast and Its Armies Defeated
17Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly in midheaven, “Come, gather for the great supper of God, 18to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of the mighty, the flesh of horses and their riders—flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great.” 19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against the rider on the horse and against his army. 20And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed in its presence the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21And the rest were killed by the sword of the rider on the horse, the sword that came from his mouth; and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.
Revelation 19:1-19:21 , NRSVA Bible
Before Abraham broke off from his forefathers, all of his male ancestors had their foreskins intact. As the descendant of Noah and of those who had built the Tower of Babel (archaeologically, a ziggurat in Ur in modern day Iraq), Abraham was most likely Babylonian himself, though he is sometimes placed as a modern day Kurd from the region of Iraq bordering Turkey and the home of Mount Ararat, where Noah’s Ark or that of the ancient Sumerian tale had come to rest after the Great Flood. The common language spoken by Noah and his descendants at Babel could very well have been archaic Sanskrit, a more mature version of proto-Indo-European that had come with them from the Eurasian steppe along with their domesticated horses. Abraham may have been a renegade Aryan. A spliced gene. That genetic watershed marked by the ritual of male circumcision and the rejection of the horse.
The history of the Semitic peoples after Abraham goes in cycles. About 1500 years may have passed between Abraham and his Hebrew sons and daughters liberated by the horse drawn, chariot-riding Persians from their exile in Babylon, liberated from internecine wars among Aryan tribes. The Persia of Cyrus the Great is today’s Iran or literally, the land of the Aryans. The story of the descendants of Abraham is one of repeated cycles of subjugation by and emancipation from the extended family from which he had led his clan away, from the epoch of Babylon to the era of Rome, from the destruction of the first temple by the Babylonians to the destruction of the second by the Romans, from Abraham himself to Jesus Christ. It is the story of a theological rebellion under siege within a family, across generations and millennia. Hence, the leitmotif of the Fall of Babylon, from the exile to the exile, with a perpetual aspiration to rebuild the temple.
The exile is endless, from the Hebrew perspective, repeating in cycles with the rise and fall of vice in the world in which the Hebrews have found themselves, the vice being their torment at the hands of their malefactors, until the Temple itself becomes the abode of vice in The New Testament.
The Revelation to John by Christ appears to be curiously combining the metaphor of the Fall of Babylon with the reembrace of the geneology of the Hebrews from the people of the horse. The new Babylon that has fallen is at once history, contemporary and prophecy: the Alpha and the Omega ― in the language of emerging Christian orthodoxy of The New Testament, the beginning of history and its end, both the fall of the corrupt Temple (21:22) and the rise of Holy Rome (22:1- 22:7) with the Aryan Gentile forefathers conquered by the Father of Abraham who is also the emerging one God of the Gentiles. Christ represents the reunification of the Abrahamic radicals and the pagans and male circumcision goes away, in a return to Sumeria, to the time of the unification of the races before Ham, Shem and Japeth ― the sons of Noah after the deluge.
The four horsemen are the four castes in the ancient Aryan societies: the intellectuals on the White horse, the ruling classes on the Red horse, the trading classes on the Black horse and the wretched classes on the pale Green horse.
The nameless Rider on the White Horse, the God of Moses on Sinai, the Word of God (language, logos), King of kings and Lord of lords, is the revelation as the righteous victor in an Armageddon among what were all essentially Aryan tribes of antiquity before Pythagoras.
The Christ of the Revelation to John around 100 C.E is the Krishna of the revelation to Arjuna about 600 years earlier, around the time when Babylon had fallen and The Old Testament was written. The Harmageddon (16:16) in Hebrew is the Kurukshetra of the Mahabharatha, suggesting the spread of civilization over time from the Indus to the Tiber, from Harappa to Rome, the Indus script yet to be conclusively deciphered, by way of the invading Aryans on horseback from the Eurasian steppe as has been extensively documented by L. Austine Waddell beginning more than a century ago.
The National Geographic’s Genographic Project seems to be validating Waddell’s hypothesis because even as cultures changed in the Indian subcontinent, the genetic markers on the Y-Chromosome for men remain fairly homogeneous for about 30,000 years (my own Haplogroup L, for example), not a mere 6000 years since Sumeria, raising the question of what my ancestors were doing for about 24,000 years before Sumeria in India. For the moment, it will suffice to say, remaining consistent with the genetic evidence, that the people of Sumeria (Tigris and Euphrates, most likely Y-DNA Haplogroup F), Egypt (Nile, Y-DNA Haplogroup E1b1b), and Harappa, Mohenjodaro and Lothal (Indus, my direct ancestors, Y-DNA Haplogroup L) had formed the three great pre-Aryan civilizations (“civilization” defined as agricultural urban settlements by river banks), with the Semitic peoples (Hebrews and Arabs, Haplogroup J) nomadically co-existing with them since then in, what I call, the first wave of globalization.
The Aryan nomads from the Eurasian Steppe (Haplogroup R), after adopting the domesticated the horse from Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Haplogroup K, the progenitor male of almost all the males inhabiting today’s earth), gradually miscegenated in waves (as is abundantly evident in the genetic composition of India) across the lands comprising of the entire swath from modern day Turkey through Persia into India by about 1500 B.C.E. It is entirely possible that the Sumerian Renaissance (influencing the work of L. Austine Waddell) was due to them. The horse had changed the world.
The Aryan ideas of enlightenment (Zarathustra in Persia followed by Krishna in India) after the (myth of) Armageddon (internecine Aryan warfare interpreted as the Manichaen good v. evil, white v. black) has persisted since the great transformation of the Axial Age beginning around 1000 B.C.E, only to culminate first in the classless concept of Nirguna Brahmana (emancipation from the ego to become one with creation) in the Bahagavad Gita around 776 B.C.E, later in The Revelation and finally in the Declaration of Independence of the United States in 1776, that all Men are created equal and we are all the chosen people of God.
